Journeys: Pipeline Board for Contacts

A drag-and-drop pipeline board for tracking contacts through stages, like a sales pipeline.

Last updated 2026-08-14

A Journey is a visual pipeline — a board with named columns (stages) that contacts move through, similar to a sales pipeline (New → Contacted → Qualified → Won). You can optionally have a message sent automatically the moment a contact enters a given stage.

Create a journey with stages

Set up a board and define the named stages contacts will move through.

  1. Go to Journeys from the left menu and create a new journey.
  2. Open the journey's board.
  3. Use the "add stage" form at the end of the board to add each stage by name, optionally attaching a message to send when a contact enters it.
Stages appear in the order you create them — reordering existing stages isn't available yet.

Move contacts between stages

Move a contact card from one column to another to reflect their progress.

  1. Open a journey's board.
  2. Use the per-column "+ add contact" picker to place a contact into a stage for the first time.
  3. Drag a contact's card from one column and drop it into another to move them.
A contact can only be in one stage of a given journey at a time.

Automatic message on stage entry

Have a chosen message sent automatically the moment a contact moves into a stage.

  1. When creating or editing a stage, attach a campaign to it.
  2. Whenever a contact enters that stage, the attached message sends once automatically.
Dragging a card back onto the column it's already in doesn't re-send the message — it only fires when the contact's stage actually changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I reorder the stages on a board after creating them?

Not yet — stages stay in the order they were created. Only the contact cards can be dragged between columns.

Will a contact automatically move to the next stage after some time?

No — moving a contact between stages is always a manual drag-and-drop action. Automatic time-based transitions aren't available yet.

Can I delete a stage that still has contacts in it?

No — you'll need to move its contacts to another stage first. This prevents accidentally losing track of where those contacts were.
